Autumn 2019 Wine Dinner with Barratt Wines

After a successful event last year with winemaker Lindsay Barratt and his award winning wines, we are delighted to host another wine dinner, for a good cause. All proceeds will be going to New Jerusalem Family Homes (orphanage) in Aweil, South Sudan. Join us for beautiful three course meal featuring local produce and prepared by talented chef and co-owner Monica with paired wines showcasing the Barratt range of award winning cool climate varietals. Each wine will be introduced by Lindsay with a brief description of its tasting profile and how it came to be produced.

Pre-dinner drinks:

Barratt 2018 Sauvignon Blanc & nibbles

Entree:

Sukuma Wiki – Authentic Swahili-named stir-fried beef, vegetables and chapati flatbread. With Barratt 2016 Chardonnay.

Main Course:

Osso bucco with a North-African twist – slow cooked beef shanks on a bed of creamy asida. With Barratt 2016 Pinot Noir.

Dessert:

Luqaimat – Fried dumplings with sweet and sour house-made lemon syrup and pistachios. With Barratt 2008 Chardonnay.
